You can upload images sizes of up to 20MB for non-animated files such as JPEG. PNG files that are more than 5MB are converted into JPEG automatically. Non-animated pictures larger than 1MB or larger than 5MB if you're logged in are compressed. Compression helps to reduce their size, although the quality is maintained.

Video uploads and GIFs can be large, up to 200MB, and can be up to 60 seconds long. If the video file exceeds 2MB, it is converted to GIFV to shrink its size. This is done with the sound of the clip removed. Users are restricted to posting 50 images per hour. This limitation can be bypassed by logging in from a different IP address.

You can upload on Imgur by selecting new post at the top. From there drag and drop, paste the image, or choose the image you want to be uploaded directly.
